
If there’s an “Options…” button next to Keychain in iCloud preferences, you can click that and then select which apps store documents and data in iCloud by selecting the Documents tab. In the Keychain Access app on your Mac, select a keychain from one of the keychains lists, then double-click a certificate. If you have more than one Apple ID, enter the password for the Apple ID you use with iCloud. You can view or change the trust policy of a certificate in Keychain Access. In the dialog that appears, enter your Apple ID password, then click Allow. Choose Apple menu > > System Preferences > iCloud. Apples iCloud Ke圜hain is a pretty good way to securely share your passwords across several Apple devices, such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac. When the Safari web browser saves a password, or when you sign into a service via an app, that password is stored in the keychain, and you can view and edit data in the keychain in Keychain Access.


When you securely remember the password for them, you free the user to choose a complicated one. If you do receive the previously mentioned notification, click Continue. The Keychain Access app is a graphical user interface for a set of encrypted files on your Mac. The keychain services API helps you solve this problem by giving your app a mechanism to store small bits of user data in an encrypted database called a keychain. Instead, when you set up iCloud Keychain on another device, you allow it to use your iCloud data simply by entering the login password or passcode for a Mac or iOS device that already has your iCloud Keychain set up.
KEYCHAIN ACCESS MAC VERIFICATION
You don’t receive the notification, and you don’t follow the steps below if your Apple ID uses two-factor authentication. Once you enter your verification code, you’ll be able to grab passwords from your iCloud Keychain when visiting a site in Chrome on your PC just as if you were using Safari on your Mac. If you set up iCloud on this Mac, and then you set it up on another device, you may receive a notification on this Mac telling you that the other device wants to use your iCloud account.

If you aren’t signed in to iCloud already, you must set up iCloud before you can select Keychain.
